This Forum is privately owned and operated by the EWV staff. We intend for this forum to be a place of learning, excitement, and abundant information. In order for this forum to fulfill it's purpose here are the board rules. We allow no personal attacks on any member. Doing so will result in account suspension. Failure to adhere to the following rules is grounds for administrative action.
1.Political and religious debates are not allowed. This forum is not the place to get in an arguement involving politics or religion. They're are other forums for that, not here! If you want to discuss these important matters please do so via private messages.
2.No Copyright Infringement. Copyrights MUST be respected. So please do not post any material that you do not own or have permission to use. If any material violates copyright laws your account is subject to suspension.
3.Link public information to the original source. It's ok to post NWS or SPC forecast discussions as many of our visitors may not know how to access this information, but you MUST provide a link to the source of information. We do this because we want to educate our users and want them to be able to find the information themselves.. Repeatedly and blatantly ignoring this policy will lead to an administrative action.
4.NO Soliciting and advertisingadvertising, soliciting, or otherwise using this forum for commercial interests or in an attempt to draw traffic to another website. Disregarding this rule will at minimum result in an account suspension, and is also grounds for account deletion and ban.
5.Attacks on the EWV staff will not be tolerated. Our staff work hard to make this forum as clean and hospitable environment for discussion as possible. Their efforts are greatly appreciated, and any attacks on or complaints about their decisions will be grounds for suspending your account. Particularly crude and repeated attacks will constitute grounds for permanent ban from the forum., at the sole discretion of the site administration.
6.We do not monitor private messages We are in no way involved in private messages. if another user is spamming you please report it to staff and you may block him/her in the private message section. However, if the event of threatening communications by one member against another are reported, please note that all private messages are stored in our database and will be reviewed by site administration and will be submitted to the appropriate legal authorities if warranted.
7.Do not post in all CAPSThe only time this is allowed is when posting short excerpts from the NWS or the likesuch.
8.ABSOLUTELY NO PROFANITY Here at EWV we want to maintain our site as a clean and courteous website that all can be a part of. We place this high standard because it's the right thing to do. If a user is noticed to be indifferent to this rule he/she will be warned once and then after that will be contacted by admin. Thank-you.
