**NOT FOR RE-BROADCAST** C. 2011 Scott McPartland www.SevereWeatherVideo.com We started the day in Ponca City, OK with a target of Enid, OK. Storms went up early today so it was a bit of a rush to get into position. We ended up targeting the Canton, OK storm but couldn't get into position in time to catch the wedge. We would have had a much better shot at seeing it if the visibilities weren't so poor but oh well. So, Dave and I decided to blast down highway 58 and after getting through some moderate to heavy precip, the wall cloud finally came into view. We pulled over on the side of the road and right then, it dropped a nice rope tornado that stayed on the ground for a few minutes before dissapating. After that, we blasted down to the OKC metro where we tried to intercept the tornadic storms that were affecting that area but due to poor visibilities, and the chaos that was taking place down there, we didn't have much luck and gave up for the day. All in all though a very eventful chase day but we were saddened by the news of so many towns that were hit hard. My thoughts are with all those affected. Scott McPartland
